St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Aurora is offering French Immersion classes beginning in Grade 1.
French Immersion programs are designed to provide non-francophone children with a high degree of proficiency in the French language. While any exposure to a second language is beneficial, French Immersion broadens and deepens that exposure.
Please note: January 24, 2020 is the deadline for Year 2 FDK parents to apply online for the Grade 1 French Immersion program beginning September 2020. To apply please visit www.ycdsb.ca or call St. Joseph CES at 905-727-2455.
Students can only join the French Immersion program in Grade 1.
Please tell your family and friends to apply now! Visit www.ycdsb.ca and look under the What’s New title and click “Elementary French Immersion Applications Now Available” and then click St. Joseph (Aurora) CES to access the application. A confirmation email will be sent.
Transportation guidelines for French Immersion students living within the St. Joseph CES (Aurora) French Immersion Boundary:
- Students in grades 1 to 3, residing 1.2 km beyond the school and within the FI boundary will receive transportation.
- Students in grades 4 to 8, who live beyond 1.6 km, and live within the French Immersion transportation boundary will receive transportation.
