ShareLife Week at St. Joseph CES Aurora is April 4-8!!
April 4 The Luke:14 Committee will be hosting a ShareLife Week Kickoff Assembly!
April 5 Chaplain Sal Badali will present how to live your life based on Jesus’ teachings and his experiences volunteering with Canadian Food for Children. Sal’s message will help our students recognize that God has blessed them with gifts and that they are called to use their gifts and trust that God will look after them.
April 6 our school community will have a Lenten Mass performed virtually by Fr. Frank from OLG parish.
Lenten Food Drive April 4-8: Luke 4:18 will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Aurora Food Pantry and Canadian Food for Children (salt, soup & used soccerballs). Please find below some items that have been requested:
- Aurora Food Pantry: Canned fruits, Canned vegetables, Juice boxes, Toilet paper, Cereals, Pasta sauce, Cleaning supplies.
- Canadian Food for Children: “Salt, Soup & Soccerballs (used)”
Luke 4:18 ShareLife Fundraising: This year for ShareLife Week Luke 4:18 will be selling for one day only Ice Dawgs (ice cream sandwiches with cookies) for $2.00 on Healthy Hunger. All proceeds will go towards ShareLife fundraising. This one day sale will provide the students an opportunity to ‘try’ the Ice Dawgs.
After Easter, the Luke 4:18 Committee plans to sell Terra Cotta Ice Dawgs on Wednesdays using Healthy Hunger and all proceeds will go towards Luke 4:18 initiatives such as our Northern Neighbours spring project.
Terra Cotta Cookie Co. Ice Dawg Ingredients: Ice cream: vanilla ice cream (cream, sugar/glucose, modified milk ingredients, mono and diglycerides, guar gum, polysorbate 80, carrageenan, dextrose, natural and artificial flavour). Cookies: enriched wheat flour, sugars (brown sugar, sugar), liquid whole eggs, semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, dextrose, soy lecithin, vanilla extract), soybean and modified palm oil margarine, unsweetened applesauce (apples, ascorbic acid), inulin, water, baking soda, vanilla extract.
