Our 2nd annual Spring Fling School Fundraiser will be held on Friday, May 5th, organized by the SJA Catholic School Council. Throughout the day, students will be taking part in a Dance-a-thon in the gym to help raise funds for special projects at St. Joseph CES. Pledge forms will be distributed to your children prior to the event where friends and family members can donate money towards the Dance-a-thon. Raffle tickets will then be distributed to the students the morning of the event, based on the amount of money raised. Last year, we had over 40 prizes donated by the community, including sporting equipment, games, food gift cards, tablets and an XBOX. The donated prizes were put on display in the library and students could use their raffle tickets for their chance to win the different prizes. Last year’s event raised over $8,000 for the school and we are looking to exceed that with this year’s event.
There is still time to donate items for the raffle. Donations can be physical or monetary. Monetary donations will be used to purchase prizes for the Dance-a-thon Raffle.
In conjunction with the Dance-a-thon, there will also be a Silent Auction for the adults to bid on. There are already items to bid on including vouchers for local restaurants, tickets to attractions and a one week condo rental in Florida. The link for the Silent Auction website is located below. Feel free to bid on any items. The auction will conclude on Sunday, May 7th at 2:00pm.
