St. Joseph, Aurora CES is pleased to be participating in the Annual Terry Fox Day on Friday, September 20, 2019. Students are encouraged to wear RED & WHITE clothes on this day!
For the past fourteen years our school community has raised over $50,000 for cancer research. We are very proud of our achievements. Our challenge this year is to continue to support this worthwhile cause and to help realize a dream that started with a young man’s Marathon of Hope. All proceeds raised will be forwarded to The Terry Fox Foundation to further cancer research.
The day will be organized as follows:
- Primary students will walk for approximately 30 minutes around the school property and Confederation Park soccer field
- Junior/Intermediate students will walk around Confederation Park, down Seaton Dr. to Murray and back to our school
- Students may wear red and white to school OR their school uniform
In lieu of sending home a pledge sheet, we are asking each student to bring in a Toonie for Terry. All students are encouraged to take part as this will be our Daily Physical Activity (DPA). Please visit our school fundraising page to donate online: www.terryfox.ca/StjosephCESAurora
Please sign and return the Element of Risk Waiver, giving permission to PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES HELD AT CONFEDERATION PARK throughout the year, along with toonie donations, by September 20th.
Working together we can make a difference,
St. Joseph Staff
