Beginning the 2024-2025 school year, all students in Year 2 of Kindergarten through Grade 2 in Ontario will participate in early reading screenings (ERS). This requirement by the Ministry of Education was in response to the Right to Read report and is endorsed by the Canadian Pediatric Society.
We thought it would be appropriate to get a head start on our Anti-Bullying Week by launching it during the week of Remembrance Day, Monday, November 11th. It is an ideal opportunity to begin the discussion on how we can be better peacemakers and continue this conversation throughout the week and year.
